Girls Aloud ticket updates — Fans struggle with Ticketek’s presale & group aim to make tour ‘magical for Sarah Harding’

PRESALE tickets for Girls Aloud's upcoming UK tour are live on Ticketmaster this morning as fans rush to attend.

Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley WalshNadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts are reuniting and will be marking the band's 21st anniversary next summer.

Speaking about the tour Cheryl said: "We are just trying our very best to make it magical with Sarah in mind."

Presale tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster at this link, with general sale beginning on Friday.

Fans have been left furious this morning however with Ticketek after many spent long periods of time in the waiting lounge.

Taking to social media one user said: "It’s been 3 hours and i’m still not able to access the girls aloud Aberdeen presale can you help"

    Cheryl, Nadine, Nicola, Kimberley and Sarah formed Girls Aloud on TV show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.

    They enjoyed a hugely successful career with a string of Number 1s and sell out concerts before going their separate ways in 2013.

    Tragically, Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. She passed away in September 2021, leaving the girls devastated.

    Confirming their big return to music, Cheryl said: “We all started talking about the possibility of doing something to celebrate Girls Aloud’s 20-year anniversary a few years ago.

    “The anniversary seemed like an obvious thing that we would celebrate.

    “But when Sarah fell ill all priorities changed. She passed away a year before the anniversary and it just didn’t feel right, it felt too soon.

    “But now, I think there is an energy that does makes it feel right. It’s the right time to celebrate Sarah, it’s the right time to celebrate the band and the right time to celebrate the fact we can still do this 21 years later. That’s a big honour in lots of ways.”

  • Ticket prices revealed

    Tickets for the Girl Aloud tour vary depending on the seats that you can get your hands on.

    Birmingham offers several packages ranging from £240 per person. to £160.

    Birmingham ticket prices start at £58.90 and go up to £110.10, with another option at £71.80.

    For Liverpool, prices start from £58.71 and go up to £208.75, with two other options at £101.75 and £208.75.

    For Nottingham, prices start at £58.81 and go up to £213.05.

    Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, 42, Nadine Coyle, 38, and Nicola Roberts, 38, are doing it without their fifth bandmate, Sarah Hardingwho died aged 39 from breast cancer in 2021.

    It is only now, two years on, that the group say they finally feel ready to return to the stage, which they also revealed was one of Sarah’s dying wishes.

    Recalling an emotional conversation with Sarah during her final months, Cheryl said: “She turned to me once and said, ‘You know, when I’m not here, you girls should do something’.

    “But when you’re face to face with someone that’s dying . . . we just thought some miracle was going to occur. We all thought we might be able to do something together.”
