🌠 Who are the I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here contestants?

ITV has officially announced the cast for this year’s I’m a Celebrity, and it’s a lineup that promises plenty of fireworks over the next few weeks. From soap royalty to a controversial ex-politician and a much-loved maître d'hôtel, let’s take a look at all of this year’s I’m a Celeb campmates.

Jamie Lynn Spears

Jamie Lynn Spears is the only American campmate entering the jungle this year. The sister of pop icon Britney Spears, Jamie grabbed headlines in 2021 when she spoke out against her sister’s controversial conservatorship.

She would go on to release a best-selling memoir ‘Things I Should Have Said’, causing a very public spat with her sister, who claimed she was cashing in on the family name.

Spears has said that she wants the show to be a chance for her to be herself and clear some of the public's misconceptions about her. One thing is certain: Jamie Lynn is not one to shy away from confrontation and promises to be a campmate to watch.

Josie Gibson

Josie Gibson is reality TV royalty in the UK, and it is no surprise to see her installed as one of the early favourites to win the show. Gibson shot to fame when she won the 2010 edition of Big Brother, making history with the highest winning margin in the show’s history from the public vote.

Since then, she has become a much-loved presenter and TV personality, appearing on shows like Celebrity Juice, This Morning, Loose Women, and more. She has also filled in as a host on This Morning and is one of the show’s most beloved personalities.

Nella Rose

YouTube personality Nella Rose is the youngest confirmed entrant in this year’s I’m a Celeb. At 26 years old, she would have been five years old when the show’s first series was broadcast. Don’t let this fool you, though; Nella brings a big personality with her, and she is a star on the rise.

With a million followers on TikTok and over 750,000 subscribers on YouTube, she is one of the UK’s most popular social media personalities. She has gone on to host Catfish UK, as well as the red carpet build-up for the Brit Awards.

Nigel Farage

A man who will need no introduction to the British public, ITV has grabbed headlines by confirming the former politician will be entering the jungle this year. Nigel Farage is the former lead of UKIP and the Brexit Party, playing a key role in the 2016 Brexit referendum and the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

Farage has never been a man to hide away from controversy. He currently hosts a show on GB News, where he engages in heated discussions and shares his views on major talking points. Heading into the jungle, Farage has acknowledged that he is a divisive character, stating he aims to change any preconceived ideas his campmates may have about him.

Naturally, Farage’s entry into the jungle has drawn comparisons with Matt Hancock, the controversial former Conservative MP who finished third in last year’s contest., Farage has said that, like Hancock, he wants to go in there to test himself but has admitted that the whole thing is a gamble for him and that he has some concerns about how his campmates may view him on arrival.

Grace Dent

Grace Dent is one of the UK’s most famous journalists, having worked with major publications like The Guardian and the Evening Standard, as well as being a judge on Masterchef UK. She is no stranger to TV shows, having appeared on shows like Pointless Celebrities, Richard Osman’s House of Games, and Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe, among others. She is also the author of several novels.

In her career as a food critic, Dent has earned herself a fiery reputation, and she has never been one to run from an argument. She could bring some serious fireworks to the camp this year.

Danielle Harold

Danielle Harold became the nation’s sweetheart earlier this year with her heartbreaking portrayal of Lola’s battle with brain cancer in Eastenders. Her devastating performance saw her win Best Leading Performer at this year’s British Soap Awards, and her appearance in I’m a Celeb will mark the start of her career beyond the square.

Her status as a soap icon will already place her in a good position in the eyes of the public, and her self-confessed ditziness is no doubt going to endear audiences to her further.

Nick Pickard

Another soap icon following Danielle into the jungle is Nick Pickard. Nick has played Tony Hutchison in Hollyoaks since the show started in 1995 and is the longest-running cast member in history.

He has also appeared on other reality and quiz shows in the UK, including Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Pointless.

Fred Sirieix

French maître d’hôtel, Fred Sirieix, has become one of British TV’s most loved personalities over the last decade. Whether it’s helping singles look for love in First Dates, hitting the road with Gordon and Gino in Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, or watching TV on Celeb Gogglebox with his beloved ‘Fruitcake’, Fred is always an entertaining figure, and it is no surprise he is an early favourite in the jungle.

The bull's penises and fish eyes served in the jungle are a far cry from the kind of fine-dining experiences Fred has provided throughout his life, but he insists he is up for the challenge. He has also admitted he is scared of everything, believing he is likely to be nominated for the majority of the Bushtucker trials.

Marvin Humes

Fresh from a reunion tour with JLS, Marvin Humes will be heading down under as one of this year’s I’m a Celeb contestants.

After bursting onto the scene with JLS on the X-Factor, Hume has carved out a successful hosting career for himself. Along with his wife, Rochelle Humes, he hosts the popular BBC show The Hit List, and they have also filled in on This Morning on occasion.

Sam Thompson

At 31 years old, popular Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson is already a reality TV veteran, having appeared in Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Big Brother in the past. His partner, Zara McDermott, has also recently appeared on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

He is also an extremely popular radio host, hosting a weekly show on Hits Radio every Sunday. Sam’s infectious personality is likely to win over the public, with the Love Island: Aftersun panellist being installed as an early favourite.

Tony Bellew

Former British light-heavyweight boxing champion and TV pundit Tony Bellew is set to be one of this year’s late entrants in the jungle. Bellew’s blockbuster clashes with the likes of David Haye and Oleksandr Usyk helped him become a household name, and his appearances in movies like Creed have established him on an international stage.

Bellew is no stranger to tough reality shows, having taken part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins when he admits he nearly came to blows with host Ant Middleton.

Frankie Dettori

Horse racing legend Frankie Dettori is set to join Tony Bellew as this year’s late contestant. The 52-year-old is one of the most famous and successful jockeys of all time. Dettori is based in the UK and was a former team captain on Question of Sport during one of the show’s most popular periods.

The Italian has an extremely likeable personality and is already favoured by the bookies as a potential King of the Jungle.

  • Winner
  • Top male

Winner

The winner is by far the most popular market to bet on in I’m a Celebrity 2023. This is a bet on which celebrity will be crowned the King or Queen of the Jungle. The odds in this market change very quickly, with the show’s explosive nature changing a celebrity’s popularity overnight, especially in the early days.

Top male/female

This market is self-explanatory. You are betting on who you think will be the highest-finishing male or female. This can be an excellent market to bet on if there is a clear frontrunner and the odds in the winner market are unattractive.

Top 3 finish

Like the top male/female markets, betting on someone to finish in the top 3 can be a great bet if the winner is clear. The public also likes to keep some campmates in just to watch them go through more trials, and as a result, they can end up going much further than anticipated.

Next celebrity to leave

Outside of the winner's market, the next celebrity to leave the market is the most popular to bet on. Traditionally, the public will start voting to evict celebrities after the first week, with evictions happening daily.

First celebrity to quit

The jungle can be an unforgiving place, and there have been plenty of instances of celebrities quitting the show over the years. This market can present great value, especially in the first week.

Our top 5 tips for betting on I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here

Here are some tips to help you out when betting on this year’s I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here:

  1. Make sure you tune in: Like all reality shows, I’m a Celebrity can be extremely volatile. Celebrities can go from being loved to hated based on a single action, which will greatly impact the odds. If you miss a few episodes, you can end up falling out of the loop and losing track of where celebrities stand in terms of popularity and their standing in the camp.
  2. Follow social media: Ultimately, I’m a Celebrity is a popularity contest, and if you are going to bet on it, you should keep up with who is popular and who isn’t. Social media can be a great way of getting a feel of how a celebrity is viewed and their general standing among the voting public.
  3. Compare odds: The odds for a show like I’m a Celebrity can shift rapidly, so it is important you remain vigilant and try to take advantage of the best odds on the market. TV betting is extremely popular, so most major bookmakers will have odds available for I’m a Celeb.
  4. Remain objective: With a show like I’m a Celebrity, it is easy to allow your own personal opinions to sneak in when betting. Nigel Farage is an excellent example of this. Many bettors will allow their own political opinions to influence their betting, which is never wise. Matt Hancock defied expectations last year, and there are many punters who would have missed out on him because they allowed their political opinions to shape their decisions. You should base your bets solely on how they are perceived in the show.
  5. Gamble responsibly: It is important to remember to gamble responsibly when betting on I’m a Celebrity. It is easy to treat entertainment-based betting differently from sports betting, but you should never do this. If you feel as though your betting is getting out of control, then you should seek help from one of the many responsible gambling charities and resources that exist in the UK.
