He also alleged that Harry and Meghan sent William and Kate's three children gifts last Christmas - but did not even get a text in response.

Scobie claimed that Kate even "shudders and giggles" every time she hears Meghan's name.

He said Meghan "never wants to set foot in the UK again" - but that Harry is "ready to forget" his family quarrels.

The author writes that Harry has given up on getting the "apology or explanation" he has previously demanded from William and King Charles.

He quotes Harry as saying: "At this point, who cares - right?"

Scobie makes the bombshell claims in his new book 'Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival'.

The author and close Meghan pal published excerpts of the book yesterday in the French gossip magazine Paris Match.

Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.

Insiders pointed out that it is no surprise Meghan and Kate have not been in "direct communication" since 2019.

Harry and Meghan left for Canada that year with their baby son Archie, before later moving to a luxury pad in California.

Since then Meghan has only returned to the UK for four brief visits with Harry.

There are now fears that the rift between William and Harry is getting worse.

It has been claimed that William and Kate will skip Christmas at Sandringham if Meghan is there.

A friend said that Harry and Meghan "would love to" spend Christmas in the UK - but "haven't been invited" by King Charles.

Scobie also claims that Charles revealed his "real feelings" about Meghan in a letter.
