It is not even Christmas yet but one eagle-eyed choc lover spotted orange flavour Cadbury Mini Eggs at convenience chain One Stop.

They shared a post to the Facebook group Newfoodsuk, and other fans of the delicious Easter treat went wild.

The post racked up more than 2.4k comments and 3k likes.

One person said: "I need to find these, two of my favourites rolled into one".

Another person added: "I need at least 100 bags of these."

While a third person commented: "As if mini eggs weren't addictive enough."

Surprisingly only one or two people complained about the timing of the new sweet treat.

One person said: "You'd have thought they would have at least got through Christmas Eve before getting Easter stock out."

Another said: "OMG we have not had Xmas yet, ridiculous."

None of the other major supermarkets are currently stocking the chocolate, but Cadbury said they'll appear elsewhere soon so keep your eyes peeled.

A spokesperson for Cadbury said: "The secret is out! Cadbury Mini Eggs are evolving with the first-ever UK flavour development.

"Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange will launch for Easter 2024, with the same crunchy outer shell we know and love, but with an orange-flavoured chocolate centre, bound to get your taste buds tingling.

"Although Cadbury has been keeping this top secret, Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange will be appearing exclusively on shelves at Tesco Group, soon."

Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange have a RRP OF £1.80 per 80g bag.

One Stop is part of the Tesco Group.

Cadbury fans may be pleased with the launch of the new orange Mini Eggs, however, they have recently been upset by the confectionary giant.

Shoppers were also complaining when another Easter favourite was spotted on the shelves earlier this month.
