Major supermarket to close all 364 stores for two days at Christmas to give staff time off

A MAJOR supermarket will close all 364 stores for two days at Christmas to give staff time to spend with family and friends.
Waitrose & Partners has told The Sun that all supermarkets will be closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The majority of the chain's shops will then trade normal hours between December 27 and New Year's Eve.
Waitrose has also changed its opening hours at stores on New Year's Day.
Some shops will be opening as normal for trading with reduced hours.

John Lewis & Partners, Waitrose's sister brand will also shut all stores on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The majority of the chain's department stores will then open from 9am-8pm between December 27 and New Year's Eve.
John Lewis' store opening hours do vary and it's advised that customers check the times of individual shops by using the branch finder page on the brand's website.
The John Lewis at Manchester's Trafford Centre will be open on New Year's Day, and all other shops will be closed.
