Strictly Come Dancing in huge shake-up as star swaps pro partner and opens up on ‘big decision’

They join a whole host of stars who will be dancing away on stage.

STRICTLY Come Dancing has found itself in a huge show shake-up as one of this year's cast has found himself dancing with a brand new partner.

The surprise switch left the dancing star admitting it was a 'big decision' to commit to working with somebody new.

Channel 4 newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy has signed up to sizzle on the show's epic live arena tour but it won't be Lauren Oakley that will be joining him.

Despite putting on impressive performance with one another, Lauren's contractual obligations to another tour with fellow pro Giovanni Pernice, have prevented her from joining the journalist on the tour.

However, the legendary broadcaster will be in good hands as he will instead take to the floor with reigning show champion and Strictly's latest golden girl, Jowita Przystal.

Confirming the news that he would be dancing once again, Krishnan wrote on his Instagram account: "#breakingnews Here we go again!! I’m doing the Strictly tour!!

"It’s going to be brilliant but different, because @laurenmayoakley was already committed to touring with @giovannipernice so it was a big decision for me and I went to and fro about it.

"But with Lauren’s trademark encouragement I’m very excited to be dancing with the amazing @jowitaprzystal so CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEW YEAR! Xxxx."

Jowita crashed out early in the contest with her celeb partner, sporting star Jody Cundy, however she triumphed with wildlife cameraman and BBC star Hamza Yassin last year to take home the Glitterball trophy.

Krishnan will be joined by the biggest names from the class of 2023 for the tour which kicks off in Birmingham in January.

EastEnders star and model Bobby Brazier will be dancing alongside his partner Dianne Buswell as will Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.

Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu will also be shimmering across the floor.

Tennis ace Annabel Croft will also sizzle but, like Krishnan, will be paired with a new partner in the form of Graziano Di Prima.

Janette Manrara will be back to host proceedings with Shirley Ballas featuring as head judge alongside co-stars Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood.

The cast will put on 30 scintillating shows across the country with stops in Manchester, Sheffield, London, Liverpool and more.
