A Place in the Sun star Laura revealed on a new episode of the Two Women Chatting podcast that she received a weird message from an Instagram user that left her taken aback.

The bewildered Channel 4 presenter exclaimed: "I did get a really weird message from someone the other week, actually, saying: 'Can't follow you anymore, I'm bored of seeing you on holiday.'”

Laura added: "I'm like, 'But I travel for my job! What am I supposed to do?'"

Laura regularly uploads pictures of her working abroad in sun-filled exotic locations and personal holiday pictures on her social media platforms.

During the podcast episode, she also revealed that she will travel to Costa Rica once she gets a work break.

Throughout the years of being in the limelight, Laura has had to fight back at the internet trolls.

When Laura was on Netmums' Sweat Snot and Tears podcast a few years back, she revealed that she had to call the police after going into an intense panic attack due to negative comments.

Once the ambulance arrived at her property, she complained of not being able to breathe correctly.

The star has also recalled a time when she was navigating through a local neighbourhood community app designed to connect with and help other community members.

Laura was in for a nasty shock when she came across some distasteful comments about her and her family.

She explained: "I couldn't believe the amount of stuff that was being said about me, my family and my children. My husband said to just ignore it, but I couldn't.”

"I understand that when you're on TV and when you are in the public eye, you're never going to appeal to everyone.

"I accept the fact there will be negativity, there will always be criticism... but when it comes to what happened [on the app] in lockdown, it was different."

However, Laura continues to work hard despite the negativity.

The presenter has launched a clothing collection with Verity& Me, moved into her dream home and bought her dream car - a Land Rover Defender 90.

The TV star admitted she ‘pinched herself’ after making the purchase.

Taking to her Instagram to share the news, she wrote: “I have worked unbelievably hard over the last few years to rebuild my life to make my children, friends and family proud."
