I’m a savvy mum & I’ve found the best £8 buy to keep Christmas magic alive after the kids open their presents

A SAVVY mum has found the best bargain buy to help keep the magic alive for kids at Christmas time after they open their presents.

Katie Cartwright, from Leven, Fife, was excited to tell fellow mums about her £8 Amazon buy that will keep the whole family entertained this festive season.

And she was so impressed that she said she felt like she was going to be more excited in the morning of the big than her kids would be.

The mum-of-two bought a festive set from Amazon to create Santa's lost wallet for her little ones.

The idea behind it is that Santa 'accidentally' leaves behind his wallet containing some Christmas trinkets while dropping off the gifts.

And the kids get to find all the goodies before receiving a postcard from Santa a few days later telling them to keep it.

In a recent clip on TikTok (@home_with_katie), Katie said: "So everybody, I thought I'd show you what has arrived. I'm absolutely buzzing and I can't wait to show you.

"My kids are six and seven and I know I've not got a lot of years left in the magical Santa Claus.

"So I ordered this from Amazon and the idea behind it is once they open all the presents and it's time to tidy up, Santa has accidentally left his wallet under the tree.

"And obviously inside it has all these little goodies - so you've got a photo of Mrs Claus, we have a North Pole pay bankcard, which is exactly like a bankcard signed by the man himself, and also a driver's license, and again it's exactly like the quality of a driver's license and on the back, it shows you what he's allowed to drive.

"It also comes with Bank of Reindeer Land, so it's got these bank notes inside and the quality is great.

"And then also inside it comes with a Reindeer Express receipt... I think that is brilliant.

"And then it comes with a North Pole lottery receipt and you can scan this barcode which I think is awesome."

Katie then goes on to explain the second part of it, adding: "And then it comes with this postcard.

"So a few days later you post this through the postbox... I cannot wait for the magic on Christmas Day.

"Seeing their faces when they find out that Santa has left his wallet."

Katie bought all of the items separately on Amazon for £11 - or there are other versions of its contents available for £2.99.

Then all you need is a wallet, which can be as cheap as £4.49 from the online retailer.

Or if you have a spare one at home then all you'll need to fork out is £2.99.

Katie also explains that the full set is also available to buy for £15.99 on TikTok Shop.

She added: "I can't wait - I think I'm more excited than they're going to be".
