  • Thomas Partey 'future uncertain'

Arsenal ace Thomas Partey could leave the Emirates as early as January.

According to ESPN, Partey's future is "uncertain" after a string of injuries.

The Gunners are said to be considering the midfielder's status and could pull the trigger after the New Year.

The Ghana international would have been allowed to leave in the summer had a suitable bid come in.

But now the North Londoners are more willing to move on the 30-year-old in the winter.

Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz is being touted as a possible replacement for Partey.

  • Victor Osimhen latest

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano claims a January move for Arsenal transfer target Victor Osimhen is unlikely as Napoli don't want to sell mid-season.

I’m aware there have been some reports linking Arsenal with Victor Osimhen, and this follows some outlets claiming the Napoli striker’s agent held talks with the Gunners around a year ago.

We know that Arsenal and Chelsea are both keeping an eye on strikers for 2024, so it’s normal to see these links.

But it’s important to reiterate that it’s very difficult to consider those links for January because Napoli insist they don’t want to sell him in the middle of the season.

For the summer, anything can happen but it isn’t being decided now for sure.

Arsenal could punch their ticket to the Champions League Last 16 tonight when they take on Lens at the Emirates.

However, the Gunners' manager Mikel Arteta will be without Fabio Vieira.

Vieira will be sidelined for the rest of the year after an operation on his groin.

Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey will also be absent due to a knee and hamstring injury respectively.

And of course Jurrien Timber is still out due to an ACL injury.

  • Walcott's Tottenham jibe

Arsenal hero Theo Walcott shocked Match of the Day presenter Mark Chapman with his cheeky Tottenham jibe.

Walcott appeared on the show as a pundit alongside Danny Murphy as well as Jermaine Jenas.

And after Murphy analysed Aston Villa's first goal, the former forward took his chance to poke fun at Spurs.

The ex-England international broke down Ollie Watkins' winner and revealed he loved to get in behind the Tottenham defence just as the Villa star did.

Walcott said: "I lived off running in behind Tottenham in particular so I'm happy with that."

Host Mark Chapman quickly interjected, laughing as he said: "Whoa you've gone early there Theo!"

  • Mos be good

Arsenal have made enquiries about Corinthians star Gabriel Moscardo but face competition from Chelsea as well as Manchester United.

Moscardo is said to be valued at £26million and is down to a new three-year deal.

Corinthians rejected an offer from the Blues in the summer, with the midfielder confirming he had been the subject of an £18m.

According to ESPN, both United as well as the Gunners have also enquired about the 18-year-old as have Atletico Madrid.

The same report adds that Barcelona have also previously shown interest along with Paris Saint-Germain.

  • Arsenal target Mbappe

Arsenal and Liverpool are both exploring the possibility of signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe's current contract with PSG is set to expire in June, meaning he will become a free agent in the summer and is free to speak to other clubs in January.

According to the Daily Record, the Gunners and Liverpool are among potential suitors that could move for the star striker.

Both clubs are said to be "exploring the financial and sporting parameters involved" in signing the France international.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is eager to bring a new centre-forward to the Emirates as he looks to guide his team to their first Premier League title in 20 years.

The North Londoners have already been linked with a move for Brentford's Ivan Toney and Napoli's Victor Osimhen ahead of the January transfer window.

  • Arsenal's Mikel Arteta

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is so popular with fans that supporters have come up with a song in his honour.

The Gunners' tribute to Arteta became hugely popular during the 2022/2023 season.

The lyric's to Arsenal's Mikel Arteta song are:

    We've got super Mik Arteta,

He knows exactly what we need,

Kieran at the back, Gabi in attack,

Arsenal on our way to Champions League.

  • Funny Ljungberg video

A brilliant no-context video of Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg and Jamie Carragher has gone viral.

Carragher and Ljungberg both appeared on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show as Fulham beat Wolves 3-2.

However, Sky Sports released a short muted clip of the Premier League greats’ conversation, showing the pair demonstrating how to mark a player.

As Ljungberg performed a shuffling run, the Liverpool legend hilariously grounded himself like he was performing martial arts.

Carragher had an extremely serious look on his face and the clip quickly did the rounds on social media.

  • Freddie Ljungberg blunder

Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg suffered an awkward slip of the tongue as he accidentally swore on live TV.

Ljungberg reminisced on his glory years and his first days in North London when he moved from Halmstad in 1998.

We had a training when I first came to Arsenal and I came to this position here [right wing].

And I had to pass it back a little bit, but I finished it brilliantly and I smashed it into the goal.

And I thought, 'I'm showing I'm a good player'. [But] Arsene stopped training, gave me a b********g on the pitch...

  • Declan Rice take

Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes they “robbed” West Ham in the Declan Rice record transfer and he wants to give them more money.

It’s the physicality and fluidity of him. He looks strong, we just look different with him.

I love Martin [Odegaard] and he’s our captain and I’m very happy, absolutely delighted with that.

But when you have a player who is eight or nine out of 10 every week, leading by example with everything that he does... you can’t help but think, 'That guy is a captain'.

I’m not being biased or anything, but I was speaking to a couple of West Ham fans recently, and I wind them up all the time.

I said: 'Do you know something, I feel like we robbed you, I feel like we should give you an extra £20m. I’m going to give you an extra £20m because it’s making me feel guilty that we’ve only got him for £100m!'

  • Carragher's title prediction

Jamie Carragher believes that Arsenal will not win the Premier League title as key attacking players have been average.

We are only a third of the way through the season but if this is the Arsenal we are going to see this season I don't think they can win the league.

So many games are going to the wire and sometimes they can go against you. Those 1-0 wins could easily be 1-0 defeats.

There isn't the same pace and fluidity, creating chances and I don't think it is anything tactical. I am still seeing the same things from Arsenal.

I just think individually the attacking players have been average whereas they were on fire last season. [Gabriel] Martinelli, [Bukayo] Saka, [Gabriel] Jesus and [Martin] Odegaard, who was up there with Kevin De Bruyne last season.

I know he [Odegaard] has had some injury problems but the stats aren't great.

  • Kai Havertz alternatives

Arsenal had eight other names on their transfer wishlist before swooping for Kai Havertz last summer.

According to The Athletic, Havertz is highly-rated by everybody at the Emirates but the Gunners' manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu did have other targets in mind.

Among them were Manchester United's Mason Mount, Barcelona's Ilkay Gundogan, West Ham's Mohammed Kudus and Inter Milan's Nicolo Barella.

However, the North Londoners opted to swoop for the Germany international from Chelsea.

  • Jurrien Timber injury update

Arsenal star Jurrien Timber released a positive injury update after revealing his gruelling road to recovery.

Timber suffered a knee injury at the start of the season and is facing the remainder of the campaign sidelined.

The 22-year-old pulled up with an off-the-ball injury during his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest.

But the centre-back has given fans something to smile about by posting a clip of his ongoing recovery regime.

  • Ivan Toney update

Brentford director of football Phil Giles has revealed he has never received a transfer offer for Ivan Toney.

I've never had one phone call in three-and-a-half years about Ivan Toney, in terms of interest in buying him.

If my phone rings between now and then, I'll see what's happening.

But I’m really not focused on that at all.

  • Victor Osimhen bidding war

Chelsea could launch a bid to sign Napoli superstar and Arsenal target Victor Osimhen in January.

Osimhen is understood to be at the top of the Blues' owner Todd Boehly's transfer wishlist ahead of the winter market.

The West Londoners are in desperate need of a striker as they look to improve on last season's disappointing campaign.

And according to talkSPORT, Chelsea could make a move for the in-form Nigeria international.

Mauricio Pochettino's side has been given an indication that the 24-year-old could be made available in January.

However, the Partenopei will likely demand £120million for Osimhen, who has also been linked with the Gunners and Manchester United.

  • Arsenal still keen on Luiz

Arsenal are still keeping tabs on longterm target Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has reported Luiz is still top of the Gunners’ transfer wishlist ahead of the January transfer window.

The midfielder notched an assist as Villa beat Spurs 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

However, the Villans are dead against selling the Brazil international midseason.

  • Major Vieira injury blow

Arsenal ace Fabio Vieira has been ruled out for the remainder of the year after picking up a groin injury.

Vieira is now set to undergo surgery and won't be back until 2024.

    Vieira’s been having some discomfort.

We sent him to see a specialist and the advice was to have an operation in his groin.

We don’t expect him back this side of the winter break.

  • What's up after Lens

Here are Arsenal's matches after tonight's clash with Lens.

  • Trossard on VAR

I can only speak for myself. Obviously with VAR we want the best possible outcome, but everyone can have mistakes or some things can happen.

If it doesn’t go your way then you have to take it on the chin in that moment. Obviously it’s not nice for yourself, but you can’t change it in the moment, it’s the same with my disallowed goal that we had in the game.

Maybe it’s offside, maybe it’s not, but we have to move on. It’s for the guys who work with VAR to deal with it, so it’s not up to us to change anything.

  • Trossard wants top spot

Leandro Trossard is determined for Arsenal to win their Champions League group.

    He said: "It’s very important.

"That’s what we want to do.

"We want to win and be top of the group and have a good feeling going onwards.

"We want to be top of the group going into the next round and I think we’ve done really well.

"We have such a good group and so much quality, so we can cope."

  • Duo closing in on returns

Mikel Arteta has given an injury update on both Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey.

He said: "It is a possibility but it will depend on how they evolve.

"Emile has been already on the pitch doing some jogging, so I don’t know how long it’s going to take.

"Normally he is a quick healer, and Thomas is the same.

"We have to make sure that when they come back they are at their best as well.

"We don’t want to rush them, but at the same time the team needs them because at the moment we are missing some key, key players."

  • Vieira loan in doubt

With the news that Fabio Vieira is injured for the rest of the year there could be some doubt over a potential loan move.

Marseille had been tipped with an interest in the attacking midfielder.

However with the Portuguese star's fitness now in doubt, it could see the French side cool their interest.

  • Vieira out for rest of the year

Fabio Vieira has been ruled out for the remainder of 2023 after picking up a groin injury.

The 23-year-old will undergo surgery for the issue.

He has featured 13 times this season, scoring once.

Mikel Arteta revealed the injury ahead of the match with Lens, saying: “Vieira’s been having some discomfort.
