It was a big match as well as the two teams are battling in the play-off places.

Ferguson, 81, took time to travel to the game and show his support for son Darren, who is currently managing Peterborough.

Darren Ferguson, 51, has forged his own football manager career and has had spells with the likes of Doncaster and Preston North End.

During his playing career, he played for Man United, Wrexham, Sparta Rotterdam and Wolves.

Ferguson was treated to a thrilling game at the Lamex Stadium as Peterborough battled from two goals down to earn point.

Luther Wildin and Ben Thompson put the hosts in a commanding lead before half time.

But Posh fought back as Joel Randall and Ronnie Edwards netted to snatch a draw.

Ferguson had some good company as he was sat next to Peterborough's director of football Barry Fry.

The former Man United manager also watched the 4-0 win over Burton Albion on Saturday.

Ferguson's trip to the game came after he bought a £1.2 million property in Goostrey, Cheshire.

The Scot is making the move in order to be closer to his grandchildren.

He has put his £3.5m mansion on the market following the death of his wife Cathy.

It featured an en-suite bedroom, a games room and some 'Ferguson clan' tartan carpet.

His new pad is believed to be neighbouring to his son Darren's house.

Ferguson has three sons, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
