Soul II Soul, David Morales, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez and Ian Brown are just a few of the huge names hitting up the stage for The Hacienda Returns.

"Wow, blast from the past," one wrote, while another said: "Back in the day...."

"Spent practically every Thursday night between 1991-1993 at "student night" at The Hacienda, dancing on the stage in my hot pants love love loved it", echoed a third.

The Haçienda was one of the biggest nightclubs and music venues during the 1980s and 1990s.

The likes of Madonna, Oasis, The Stone Roses, and Happy Mondays have all performed at the venue.

It was run by record label Factory Records and was one of the first British clubs to play house music.

There was a visionary "Nude" night on Fridays, which helped to boost the venue's reputation which was fully booked every week.

Many of the Haçienda DJs made regular and guest appearances on radio and TV shows like Granada TV's 'Juice' and Radio1.

The Haçienda, which was a yacht warehouse before it opened its doors to ravers, was closed in 1997 after losing its licence.

It was then demolished in 2002, and the Hacienda Apartments were built in its place.

The Hacienda Returns will be held at Depot Mayfield in Manchester and will be run by The Warehouse Project.

This isn't the first time the club has risen from the dead.

Last year, hundreds of ravers flocked to the car park of the flats where the club once stood to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

There was also a 24-hour Hacienda-branded virtual party on New Year's Eve which attracted four million viewers.

There is also a BBC documentary being made about the club, with artefacts from the venue featured in the British Pop Archive exhibition.
