NIGEL Farage’s closest ally said he should be ‘President of Britain’.
Reform UK boss Richard Tice is in talks with ex-Tory ministers over defecting to his right-wing party — as Farage eyes a return to the political frontline when his I’m A Celeb stint ends.
Mr Tice denied claims Tory deputy chair Lee Anderson was offered cash incentives to defect.
He told the BBC: “I’ve had discussions with Tory MPs, ministers, former ministers, who are absolutely furious with the betrayal of the Government’s promises.”
Asked if he was worried about Farage returning from his I’m A Celeb stint and stealing his job, Tice said: “I’ve always said I want as much help as possible but I’m a bit more ambitious.
“I quite like the idea of President Farage - maybe you can have President Farage and President Trump.”

In 2019, Farage insisted he was a “big royalist” and wanted the Queen to reign “for years” - after he used a tour in Australia to criticise the now King and Prince Harry.
Rishi Sunak yesterday used an interview in the Mail on Sunday to warn dissatisfied voters against abandoning the party, amid fears among some Tory MPs about the electoral threat of Reform UK.
“A vote for everyone who is not a Conservative is a vote to put Keir Starmer into office,” Mr Sunak said.
