The next series will also see The Queen celebrate her Golden Jubilee and cope with the death of the Queen Mother and her sister, Princess Margaret

KATE Middleton’s sensational see-through dress will deliver one of a string of iconic royal images recreated in the new series of The Crown.

The sexy outfit was worn by the now Princess of Wales at a fashion show she starred in when she was a student at St Andrews University with Prince William.

It was said to be the moment in 2002 that the heir to the throne, played by Ed McVey, realised his true feelings for Kate, who is played by Meg Bellamy.

The final six episodes of the Netflix drama cover the years from Princess Diana’s death in 1997 up to 2005 when Prince Charles finally marries his true love.

The moment when the future king emerges after tying the knot with Camilla is another one of the scenes which is recreated in the new series of The Crown.

Other famous imagery from the time includes Prince William meeting his adoring public, Prince Charles and his sons on a skiing trip and Bertie Carvel standing in front of 10 Downing Street as Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

The next series will also see The Queen celebrate her Golden Jubilee and cope with the death of the Queen Mother and her sister, Princess Margaret.

But it is likely to be Kate’s dress that gets the most attention when season six concludes next month.

She famously strutted down the catwalk in an outfit where her underwear was on show and only the thinnest of sheer material covered the rest of her body. It later sold for a whopping £78,000.

Kate and William had actually met a year earlier, and in clips shown earlier this year at the Edinburgh TV festival they are also seen making eyes at each other over a crowded table inside a library.

It also showed Prince Harry, played by Luther Ford, nearly shooting someone with an air rifle.

Earlier this month the first four episodes of series six dropped on Netflix which covered the final months of Princess Diana’s life with her then partner, Dodi Alfayed.
